What is a Hookah ?
Benjamin Moussavi
Hookah, also known as shisha or water pipe, is a device used for smoking tobacco, herbs, or other substances. The apparatus typically consists of a base that is filled with water, a vertical shaft with a bowl at the top for holding the substance to be smoked, a hose, and a mouthpiece. The substance is heated with charcoal, and the smoke is drawn through the water and into the hose, where it is inhaled by the user. Hookah smoking is a social activity that is popular in many parts of the world, particularly in the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia. However, it is important to note that hookah smoking carries health risks, including exposure to harmful chemicals and increased risk of infectious diseases.
